Brazen Blue

21 Mar

This is a look that I have been trying to perfect for a while and have at last achieved. The combination of gold and blue. The secret ingredient? — Club eyeshadow! Who woulda thunk? The effect is a subtle wash of gilded bronze accented by a deep something blue. Très sophistiqué.

Brushes you’ll need: – MAC #’s 217 (blending brush), 214 (short shader brush), 252 (large shader brush), 266 (small angle brush), and 116 (blush brush)

Products you’ll need:

– MAC Eyeshadows in Woodwinked, Club, Smut, and Plumage
– Chanel Ombre Unique Shadowlights in 07 Declic
– MAC Paint Pot in Painterly
– MAC Powderblush in Blunt
MAC Lipstick in Hug Me
– MAC Technakohl Liner in Graphblack

Supplemental: – A brow-filling productMascara

[* Apply MAC Paintpot in Painterly all over eyelids as a base using your fingers.
Highlight the brow bone and tear duct with Declic (252).
Place Woodwinked liberally over the lid up to the crease (252).
Darken the crease with Club (222).
Darken further with Plumage in the outermost corner(217).
[* Line the lower lash line with Club and layer the same line with Plumage (214).
[* Line the upper lash line with Graphblack and smudge out with Smut (266).

[* Using MAC’s #116 Blush brush, darken the hollows of the cheek (make a fish face and place color where your cheeks cave in) using Blunt

[* Add subtle pink with Hug Me lipstick.

Additional finishing steps: [Fill in eyebrows using MAC’s #208 Angled Brow brush and MAC Eyeshadow in Charcoal Brown], [Tame unruly brows using MAC Brow Finisher in Clear], and [Darken lashes using MAC’s Plushlash mascara in Plushblack].
